Welcome to the IMLS Office of Museum Services Online Peer Reviewer Registration.
We thank you for your interest in serving as a reviewer for applications for the
Office of Museum Services.
Peer review is a fundamental to decision making by IMLS. The agency
relies on the advice and recommendations of members of the field in the grant
making process. We appreciate your
willingness to take the time to be part of the process and provide a valuable
service to the museum community.
New reviewers
This online registration system is
for new reviewers, that is, museum professionals who have not previously
registered to be an IMLS reviewer. Potential reviewers should have a strong commitment and ongoing
participation in the museum field.
What we ask
The registration process asks you
for information about yourself, your current position, your work experience,
your professional expertise, and some preferences to review. After you have submitted your registration to
IMLS, your submission will be confirmed by e-mail. Within approximately 30 days, IMLS will review
your qualifications and notify you of your status.

Before you start
Before you begin to complete this online application you must have:
- a valid email address to use as your login
- a resume of no more than two pages that you
can cut and paste (Note: Formatting will not be retained in the online text
field. You may want to edit your resume
to simplify the format before you paste it into the text field.)
Registration process
Select the "Register for Online Account" option.
Move through each of the tabbed sections and complete the required fields (indicated
with an asterisk). You can also select the last tab, "Show All" to see all the
fields at one time.
You must "Save" your registration before you can add skills.
After you have successfully registered, you can return to
this screen to return to your account. Use the Username and Password fields in the green box and select
"Login." You can edit then edit the data
you entered when you registered.
Current reviewers
If you have registered as a reviewer in the past we should already have your
information in our system. If you are not sure if you are already registered with IMLS, please send an
email to museumreviewers@imls.gov. Or, if you
register using this system and you are already in the system, you will be notified of that status.
